1. We have tracked the weather using weather calendards. This allowed us to talk about the different weather symbols and tools that are used to describe the weather. We read books, watch video clips, and observed the actual weather conditions.
2. The students have created brochures describing the seasons. They had to describe the weather, activities, and clothing in the season they chose.
2. The students kept a weather journal. They wrote about what the weather was like. They has had weather poetry and short stories that were added to their weather journals.
3. The students read Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and then wrote their own versions of the story.
4. The students also became meteorologists. After watching and recording the weather for a week, they had to give the forecast for a seven day period for our area. Hopefully shortly I can upload a video of the students giving their forecasts.
